Nicole is an Academy Award, Emmy Award & Golden Globe Award winning actress who is best known for her roles in films such as Moulin Rouge!, The Hours, and Cold Mountain. She also starred as Celeste in HBOs Big Little Lies.
At the age of 16 she landed her first film role in the Australian holiday film, Bush Christmas. She continued in television & movie roles in her native Australia and then in 1989 made her US debut in the film Dead Calm. Since then she has wowed audiences in her roles on the stage, the silver screen and television screens in a wide variety of roles.
Nicole is an advocate for womens rights and an UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador. Nicole is married to singer Keith Urban and a mother to her son Connor and daughters Isabella, Sunday, & Faith

As UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, her efforts are geared towards raising awareness on the infringement of women’s human rights around the world, with a particular focus on putting a spotlight on violence against women, probably the most pervasive human rights violation that affects as many as 1 in every 3 women. |

It has been announced that Nicole will be presenting at this years Directors Guild of America Awards.
A full galaxy of film and TV stars has been announced to present at Saturday’s Directors Guild Awards in Beverly Hills. The final award of the evening, Best Film Director, will be presented by last year’s winner Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (“The Revenant”) to Damien Chazelle (“La La Land”), Garth Davis (“Lion”), Barry Jenkins (“Moonlight”), Kenneth Lonergan (“Manchester by the Sea”), or Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival”)? One person already announced as a winner will be Ridley Scott (“Gladiator,” “The Martian”), who will receive the life achievement award.
Film actors and actresses presenting at the event include Amy Adams (“Arrival”), Casey Affleck (“Manchester by the Sea”), Billy Crudup (“20th Century Women”), Michael Fassbender (“Steve Jobs”), Ryan Gosling (“La La Land”), Alex R. Hibbert (“Moonlight”), Nicole Kidman (“Lion”), Helen Mirren (“Eye in the Sky”), Trevante Rhodes (“Moonlight”), Ashton Sanders (“Moonlight”), and Emma Stone (“La La Land”).
